don't hit the depart button until you are ready to leave or you can hit it when you are done and ready to start your home time. If you don't wanna keep going to the truck to check your qualcomm while on home time, call the dispatch line if after hours and ask them if anything is on you ready to run with. Thats what I do if I leave me truck at Obetz and drive home since its a 2.5 hour drive home.

3250 miles in 7 days. Still have 4.5 hours left on my 70 but I'll sit here at this Walmart and take a 34.

Anybody with any ideas.... on how to stop the Work Flow insanity ??
As you're all aware, they have "expectations and targets" for us to accomplish, percentage wise. But how do you address this one?
Load assignment sent, ETA/NAT set, accepted load, activate load.
.... 2 hours later, new stop added to load. All ETA/NAT reset BY the new update NOT BY THE DRIVER.
Edit updated load assignment ETA/NAT by driver. Can't find trailer....new location sent.
.....All ETA/NAT reset again NOT BY DRIVER.
Driver corrects to reflect NEW times as required for additional stops.
OR....... Load comes to driver. Driver sets ETA/NAT, accepts load, then activates. Then gets LOST in the shuffle for 30 hours. Unable to obtain trailer for load, resetting ETA/NAT as required (multiple times).
All this leads to a lower percentage on your driver scores....How do/would you address the issue? Especially when no one in operations is willing to accept responsibility for the screw ups. -
Only use trip planning for when you first send in ETAs/NAT before accepting the load.
If it is a continuing problem and your DBL will not correct it I would start sending a freeform every time you update your times. Include what you are setting your ETA to for each stop. Use customer location IDs when listing your ETA. Also include what you are setting your NAT to with your available hours at that time.
As for getting lost in the system for 30 hours, no way that should happen. If they don't send me a trailer list within 20 minutes of me sending the message I'll call them. I then keep calling every 20-30 minutes until the problem is fixed. I refuse to sit for more than an hour without done kind of message or communication a to what's happening.
On Tuesday I finally told the DBL who answered while mine is on vacation that I was tired of messing around and it was time to send me home after I was already a day late and I was only 10 miles from the yard. -
I feel your pain most my stress seems to come from that computer. Thursday I spent about 30min swearing and ranting at that thing going down the road, anyone who looked at me must of thought I was clinically insane LOL
-
My dbl told me a few days ago that the next update to workflow is going to make it so that you don't get knocked points for setting your eta/Nat until after you complete the depart task for your pickup.

Anyone checked out these metrics on crossroads yet? Apparently I had a cargo claim put on me back on July 4th? News to me. Also claim there is paperwork missing from way back up to today. Although the stuff for this week is pending.
really need to weigh the value and importance of the tuition reimbursement. the cash IS helpful, but I'm seeing a very narrow path to getting bonus. Particularly on this dedicated account.
