    Hogan Transport.

They just landed a new dedicated account. Terminal is 10 mins from my house, staying within 250 miles from home, home every night, off 3 days a week. Couldn't turn it down. Pay is lower per mile, but I get paid for all stops(12-18 per run) and for unloading the trailer.

Did the math, and if the miles and stops are what they say, I will make about what I am making now, and get to sleep in my own bed. Did make sure I notified SNI with plenty of notice and am leaving on a good note.....just in case.

Quality of life is worth more than money. Sleeping in your own bed on a regular basis is worth the pay cut.

Well that was odd. I backed into my spot at Pilot and since the sun was right on me, and it's a tad warm out, I let my truck idle. I was expecting it to die on me in 4 minutes, but it didn't. I idled at least 10 minutes before I shut the truck off and went inside. The only thing I can think of is that during my truck wash today, Blue Beacon broke the sensor. In fact, now that I think of it, seems to me I sat and messed with my Qualcomm for quite a long time at my drop a bit ago while idling.

I wonder if Blue Beacons are magic?

I'll test out how long I can idle when I get up in the morning.

    Good luck and congrats!

They do have a designated channel set aside for ######## and moaning. FYI, it's channel 19

13 minutes and still going strong. Blue Beacon for the win! Now, hopefully it stays broken.

I don't think it's broken, maintenance just screwed up like usual. Did you get your work done at Gary by any chance?

    Yep, Gary.

Ended up idling for 50 minutes. I didn't need to, but it was just a little "screw you" to SNI for installing it in the first place, lol. I don't plan on abusing my awesome broken sensor though... I don't want them to catch on and get me in for any stupid repairs.

Now I have my fingers crossed that it stays broken, and doesn't just dry up and start working again.

Well this is fun. West Virginia DOT decided to take US 35 down to 1 lane alternating while they pave. There's about a 10 mile back up now.
