Just wanted to pop in and wish you guys having to deal with this weather system the very best. If you're new to the industry, remember the first snow of the year brings out the stupid in a lot of drivers. Keep your guard up, and be vigilant about your safety.

You've got the same thing in the box on every trip. Stuff. Just stuff.

Yep, I typed west. sorry about that. It seems like anytime I'm west of Indiana, I always get my east and west backwards

How come I have the feeling that the trip planners are going to send me to NJ tomorrow? I'll be in Albany, NY with 6 1/2 hours to run and knowing them they'll send me right into the hurricane, then when I show up at the shipper the place with be evacuated for days if not weeks. Then they'll send me to South Kearney drop yard which will be under water.

Doesn't take much, if I recall! What a dump in dry weather!

Remember....don't go any further than you do while feeling safe and in control. Stay safe!

Just called in to my DBL to let him know I'm going to be a little later to my truck because I'm waiting on a ride back to the yard. Luckily the assignment I'm on is a 1700 pickup. It's a generator run heading out to Delaware. Looks like I get to have fun on the east coast with everybody else. This storm is the one time where I was actually hoping to be sent to the north east. I think there's something wrong with me for that.:biggrin_25523:

Everyone please be safe and prepared as well. Remember nothing we deliver is worth getting anyone hurt.

Well, this is stupid. For some reason they waited until I was pulling into the driveway at this shipper to tell me my 1k mile run was canceled. Now I'm sitting here with nothing to do and no idea when my next assignment will come in. Great use of my time on my first day back...
