U still have to follow sni policy no matter what being om choice just allows u more freedom over your loads and your work schedule they will cut your fuel card off with the quickness if u miss a training class or the online quarterly training modules
Also they will kick you out of the program if you abuse the off duty driving time I've seen messages on the qualcomm about that

I love New Jersey so much...
Finally got into a dock at a hole in the wall place after 90 minutes of waiting. The woman at the desk inside told me that I should go take a nap. I have 6 hours left on my 14. Supposed to be in Findlay, OH by tomorrow night. I'm not sure if that's going to be happening at this rate. -
I was just out there in hackensack and flanders

Overheard a couple of ICs talking last night saying that they were told SNI is also looking at putting idle sensors on all IC trucks too... Wonder if SNI is really just looking to trim the fat...

Well I finally got out of there with about 2.5 hours left. Went to get onto the Turnpike only to find they had the entrance from US 1-9 closed. They were routing all traffic heading for the turnpike onto a single lane road. Spent an hour on local streets trying to get back to the interstates. Finally made it back to I-280 and started heading west. I made it to the 32MM on I-80 in NJ and pulled into the Truck Rest Area here. I could try for the TA in Columbia but don't want to get there and find it full with no time to go anywhere else. It's only about 520 miles to delivery, should be able to do that by 2000EST tomorrow. Just going to mean another early morning. For now I've been up since 0530 today and I am now going to go get some sleep finally.

If a company can tell you when you can and can't burn fuel you're not an Owner Operator. I see no way would that ever be put on an IC truck. If I were an IC I'd never go into a company shop again at that point even if it meant a tow bill to a shop you know won't install it. -
If u have an android phone grab the truck stop app I posted so u can find truck stops quicker
