Only been with the company for a year, but it didnt take long to figure out that if I max out my speed, I can make more miles and therefore make more money. I can make more money/miles at 65 than I can with a measly .02 a mile raise. I just wish they'd turn us loose....turn up the govenors and let us roll. We'd all make more money. If they want to save on fuel, and have more production, give us APU's so we can get a good nights sleep and be fresh in the morning for another safe 10 hours.

Got my new ic truck number today. Going for the year lease but they said a new truck would be better was thinking of getting an older truck for the first year. Still only going for a year lease but with a new truck hope it works out.At least any repairs will be warranty work just hope there are not many or any.

Are you going on the choice board or mileage ? Is your payment with insurance and all the goodies about 1k a week? -
A Ryder truck would be cheaper than a new SFI truck. We don't have enough trucks for drivers on the Wal-Mart Olney account, so we rented some Ryder and Penske trucks. I was looking at the rental agreement in my 2012 Ryder last week. It's $650/wk and $.12/mile. At 2500 miles a week that's $950/wk for the truck, all maintenance, insurance, plates, and tires (except for blow outs, you do pay for those.) Turbo blows, you don't pay a dime extra. Drive tires go bald, you don't pay anything for them.
