Any one know anything about the PolyOne dedicated account in Eagan, MN?

 

Hey guys, I drove for Schneider for over 7 years a while back but we parted ways (amicably) a few years ago. I'm now looking to get back into the business (co. driver) and would like to know from any veterans if anything has changed drastically over the last couple of years at SNI.

I know all about the typical BS issues in the industry so I'm not concerned with that area. I can honestly say that I never had any serious ongoing issues with SNI and most problems were corrected (or at least they did their best) after raising my concerns in an adult manor.

After reading the last few hundred posts I see there is still the perennial favorites; "Why are they hiring new drivers?!", trailers with faulty equipment that wasn't tagged OoS, load/delivery wait times (got to give accurate Macros!), dirty trucks from lazy slob and so on. The vacation TAH from 7 to 5 days is certainly not cool but I don't see anything else major.

I've been gone less than a year after spending 4 1/2 years there. No way I'm going back, though I seriously considered it a few months ago. But I'm glad I held off. Ambient temp sensors....more and more "anality"....no thanks. Got enough of it here at Crete.

 

for me its not so much WHAT they are changing( although I don tlike this no idle business), its how they go about it. Seems like very inconsistant communication on their part. Comes across as disrespectful to drivers. Personally I hate change, but given enough time to think about it , I usually come to terms with change.

For me, running dedicated , I'm getting to see some real numbers on how much money is taken from my actual work vs what they pay HHG miles. Average of 2800 a year Further, I'm now on loan to another account making my rate which is less than those on that account get. Its not fair. I'm glad I'm still running , but pay me what its worth for that account.

 

My gaming laptop has a 180watt brick, its a qosmio, my 375watt charges it fine. SNI says nothing over 185 watts, so I just run my laptop on one inverter and my tv/ps3 and phone on the other inverter, i try not to overtax it. Haven't had a single issue so far.

 

I left for six years and just came back in October. SNI went from a great company to a bottom feeder company. I wouldn't have come back here if I had know it went down hill this bad. Really thinking about leaving already...its very sad.

can anyone give me some info about the o/o side of schneider. I've read alot on the company, but nothings better than the word from the horses mouth. im interested in the percentage pay. if anyone could help it would be great. thanks
