Welcome to Sioux Falls, SD. The current temperature is (12) Twelve Degrees........ I've tried all combinations of starting/cruse/buttons, and gee, guess what is NOT idling.....

Bunk heater is intermittent as well... Called SEM, and they said call your board and they can get you a hotel...

    I DON'T WANT A HOTEL!!! I want a rig that works as advertised! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1356049937.491344.jpg

First question out of the gate was "Are you next to another truck?".....

Isn't that how you park at truck stops, you dolt! I said yes, but it was not running.

so they anticipated or found out that parking next to another truck could do this? Where then should we park? That has bathroom/shower facilities?

I wonder what the cost of a room is going to be versus the cost of idling?
Been fortunate with temps in the 30's , trying to find the sweet spot setting for the espar heater.

    Good luck man.

With my Espar heater I've found that setting it 5-7 degrees below what I want for the interior temp works. Right now I'm in Gary, it's about 30 degrees out. Thermostat is set to 65 and the temp where it's measuring is 70.

I could see how being parked next to another truck that's idling could mess with the sensor, especially if they have their exhaust dumped under the frame like mine is. That's a lot of heat just on the ground that could easily raise the temperature by 10 degrees around it.

If the truck won't idle and you're bunk heater doesn't work then I wouldn't even bother calling in again. Just find a nearby hotel and check in. Then call your DBL in the morning if you need to pay by check.
