Happy New Year Schneider drivers. Let's hope for a safe and profitable New Year.

There is no longer a company shop in Green Bay. They closed it and now contract all work out to Master Fleet across the road. All that's in Green Bay now is the HQ building with the call center in it and the Training Academy which has training facilities as well as Schneider Finance in the same building. There's no showers or anything up there, just bathrooms and the lunch room overnight.

Do it, tell them you couldn't get a hold of anybody on the phone and were tired of freezing without being able to idle.

Actually the Union drivers have a Square logo on the sides between the doors and the toolbox on the sides of the sleeper. There is a squared off S on it with arrows at both ends of the S. Logo is a slightly different orange from the rest of the truck and the S is black.

Every one I've seen is still rolling in a Century. I don't think they get new trucks, maybe hand me downs out of the OTR fleet at best. The union guys are part of Schneider Transport which no longer hires new drivers. It's a separate division from VTL. Once the last guy leaves that's the end of union drivers at Schneider.

The T on the sleeper up near the truck number is for the training trucks at the OCs.

 

So here I am, 1 hour after my NAT and 19 hours since I set the NAT and still no assignment. 5 more hours and I'll get my second day of Layover pay in less than a week.

You know it, I'm all kinds of safe. I'm sitting still wrapped in a blanket on a mattress. Couldn't be a whole lot safer. Now the profitable part? Eh, screw it, who needs money? It's not like I need to eat or pay bills.

 

now what you mean. Running dedicated and last week and this we only ran 3 days.the rest of december I was running 4 days a week being loaned out to a different account then back to my acct of friday runs. By the end of january I will have lost the equivilant of 2 weeks pay!!

Called back in about a half hour ago and was told to not be surprised if I don't see anything until tomorrow. There's too many drivers in my area and nothing is open since it's New Years.

At least I have video games to keep me occupied while I wait for an assignment. I just have to go idle for 15 minutes every couple hours to charge the batteries.

 

have fun in the drivers seat with your stopwatch!!!! Its too bad the shutdown override switch doesnt do anything with the sensor shutoff!

 

Screw that crap of sitting in the drivers seat. I took the handle off my broom and propped it on thee Gas Pedal. I just have to push it forward every five minutes and the truck keeps running. I can push the gas to the floor using that stick from my bed. No reason to go up font.

 

thankfully I dont have to sleep in the truck that often to have to worry about keeping a battery charge, I also dont have to sweep out trailers we use on the account. It WOULD be nice if THEY did though.
