Does Schneider have local daycab van guys? I'd jump on that in a heart beat if a position came open...

I'm sure it's limited, if any, especially in SoCal. Your best bet in Socal would be to go intermodal if you wanted to run daycabs. Not sure if you could start in a daycab. You see daycabs running a chep pallet account in New Jersey other than that you don't see day cabs very much anywhere else except intermodal.

I know in SoCal they have the auto parts account. Daycab local drivers. They deliver to the dealerships and plants.

My orange blood is boiling right now...

Seems that my starter found the "dead spot" again, and I'm now waiting for a pull start here in Lodi. I'm headed to French Camp to get the starter replaced. This is the second time I have asked for it to be replaced.....

Schneider don't care about what a driver asks for. They always run trucks to the ground BEFORE they spend any kind of money on them, especially if you have an older truck.

Well looks like 44416 2005 century is out :( they are giving me a newer century, a black one that says regional :) They said I could of kept my 44416 but they told me they are giving my old truck to another rookie. I'm going to have to move trucks :( bye bye 44416 I seriously just started getting comfortable in it. But the full sleepe century is soooo much bigger and nicer!

So are your regional, dedicated, or OTR?

I've always had the condo sleeper and even then I run out of room for stuff sometimes. It's usually because I carry so much food on the truck since I like to avoid eating in truckstops to save money. I also carry enough clothes for almost a month.

I couldn't do one of those tiny sleepers unless I was home at least every other day.

    Congrats on the upgrade.

    Razororange --
Hubby is about to start a position with Schneider driving as a Tanker based out of Chicago. He is prior Military and a Veteran. He basically knows how to conserve and save -- My question to you is you mentioned that you save money by keeping food on your truck and your clothes as well -- Any suggestions for what you keep a board ( snacks, cold items ? any suggestions ) This will be his first OTR position so I am interested in what I can do to conserve and save as we have three kids at home and 1 in college and one heading to college -- Any insights from you would be nice -- Thanks in advance for taking time to respond -- Have a Safe Monday !!

Question for the 6 month plus club, should I be expecting to get a raise to .36 at 6 months? All of my performance metrics are good, I was just wondering how the process works (and yes, I know I should have asked BEFORE signing up, but, nevertheless.....)
