I gave my notice yesterday to my DBL my last day will be Tuesday then that's it for me turning the truck in. Out of revenge they sent me straight into the snow storm LOL just joking but this load did help me make the call quicker then planned. Anyway I'm leaving on good terms I was told the door is always open if things don't work out. It's a great company to get started in but the idle air sensor was the last straw for me and the sitting around was the icing on the cake to get moving. I couldn't afford to work here once my education bill ran out so I guess it was just a matter of time anyway. So I wish all of you the best of luck I'll probably swing by and read this thread from time to time.

I haven't given my notice of quitting yet, but I did tell them I have applied elsewhere and needed them to respond to Maverick. About 5 minutes after talking to another DBL and Payroll mine left me a voicemail. When I tried to call back he was gone for the day already.

I'm still at home with today being day 6 of the shop having my truck. Apparently they have been waiting on Detroit Diesel to respond to them since Monday.

All I need to schedule an orientation with Maverick is for SNI to send out the Drug/Alcohol screening results to them. After that it goes to their Approval board and then within 24 hours I should have an answer. If the get the things they needed and I'm approved tomorrow I'm hoping I can go for orientation on Monday. I'll go clean out my truck while it's at the shop and even bring it back to the yard if they want me to. I'm tired of this crap of just sitting at home and not even being paid breakdown pay because of it.

At this rate there won't be many experienced drivers left at SNI.

As with many others my primary reason for leaving is the Idle sensor. Along with the fact that I'll make 40% more and be doing Flat Bed which is what I want to do.

I don't understand. Maverick is asking for medical records from Schneider? Maverick will ask you to take another drug test. Why do they want medical records from Schneider?

I don't know why they want them. I have never done any kind of drugs and I don't drink. I can pass any drug/alcohol test they can think of.

the second it gets below 20, turn on your truck, let it idle, stay warm and sleep good.

So you think it's a good idea to lease a NEW(expensive) truck and run for a company that you are unhappy with? You stated you don't have enough money to buy food or pay for house.......are you crazy? Leasing with no money is stupid. You can't chase away the lows of trucking or a company by getting your own truck, much less leasing. Thats not the way it works. This isn't a fairytale life. Either wait it out or cut your losses and go elsewhere.
