I officially hate all cell phone providers. There all a bunch of thieves. My old Droid Incredible broke today but to upgrade to a new 4g phone I have to drop my grandfathered data plan which is $30 per month. For $30 per month on the new plan I get a measly 2gb per month, not gonna work considering I use about 20 per month. There plans are outrageous.

So I decided to switch to T-Mobile which is about $90 per month for unlimited everything. I was in the process of starting a contract with them and was going to get there best 4g phone for free but at the end of there checkout they say my credit is insufficient and I would have to make a $200 deposit to sign on, which requires calling in which considering my phone isn't working, that's not gonna work. Kind of odd considering my credit score is 711...

Who told you that you would have to give up the unlimited data plan to get a 4G phone? I have Verizon as well and I still have my unlimited plan. I started out on a Droid 1 and upgraded to my Droid Bionic. The Bionic is a 4G phone. I use about 40-50GB per month.

When my contract runs out after 2 years with them I will then be on a month to month plan pretty much. Nothing will change, other than I can leave any time I want at that point and not pay an early termination fee.

When it comes time to get a new phone I will have to pay full retail price for it.

The person who told you that you can't keep the $30/month unlimited plan and upgrade to 4G lied to you.

They likely will. Give a recruiter a call and ask. Worst they can say is no.

 

If you pay full price (or get a used on off eBay) your supposed to be able to keep your unlimited data. You can get a Galaxay Nexus for around $200 off eBay. That's what I have and I like it as much as I can for it not being an iPhone.

 

Don't you have insurance on your phone? If so pay the $100 and they'll send you a replacement. Most likely a better better version then the dinc

Get you a phone....any phone that requires a sim card....then call straight talk. $45 a month, unlimited data text talk......just sayin....

 

so i did my kenan road test today....i passed but it wasnt the best. they said the one thing i didnt do enough was down shift. i admittedly got into a habit while doing flatbeds of just slowing into a stop, and then putting it into second or third gear when stopped. i CAN downshift, ill just have to get into habit. I also grinded a few gears. I was nervous a bit, and i never was in a Mack before....im still training with another guy for a week or two, then they might have me do another test...ugh! and they said id be on 90 day probationary period....all this over downshifting! oh well, its easily correctable...
