If it picks up on the 28th they're not going to relay a load that delivers on the 29th.

I'm on a 6 days out, 3 days home plan. I hold them too that. Got me home 1 day late, once, other than that, I've always got home on time. I'm a professional complainer, I always remind them about getting me home. I know it irritates my DBL, but I don't care. Minute it hits 1600, operations staff is heading home. I expect the same treatment as too home time. Ya gotta nag em. If these OTR companies had their way, we'd never get home.

One reason that you have it easier getting home is because on your program you are slip seating with another driver. So if you're not back on time the other driver is FUBARed. Drivers with assigned equipment either have the equipment moving when they're out or sitting when their on home time.

I agree, at my former company I was out a month at a time. I'd constantly be reminding my Driver Manager about my home time during my 4th week out. Used to threaten to park the rig if they didn't get me home. Usually would get home when I was supposed too. Like I said, I'm a professional complainer. I drive hard and am always on time so they put up with my whining about home time. Of course you can only push it so far.

Ill be delivering this load in Commerce CA tomorrow and then picking up a load going up to Salem OR delivering on the 31st. From there Ill either pick up a load nearby and drop it at the portland OC or just deadhead up there. Ill be home a day late but atleast I wont have to reschedule my pm on the 1st.

My dbl does good at getting me loads headed home. I always end up with support shift assigning me a load that heads me in the wrong direction making on time tah unlikely if not impossible.

Your a young guy, I'm in my 50s, this a 2nd career for me. You are much more valuable then I am to a trucking outfit. Me, maybe 7 more years, you, 30 or 40 years more. Drive hard and safe, and bust their balls about getting you home.

Anyone make last quarters bonus? I didnt, had 14% overspeed and 8.5% idle. I took advantage of being able to idle before I got my sensor and spent a week doing 65 while out of region. Would have been nice though, drove 31250 miles last quarter.
