You won't make more you'll make for yourself about 35k-45k. The rest goes into the trucks operation. Yeah on Fri a 3k checks looks good in your checking account then reality hits and is like oh skit. The best thing any oo can do is find a really good accountant. And your still a rookie in trucking 2 years is nothing. At least you made it that far.

Have you ever seen schneider choice board? Just curious?

Will see how it goes then and compare notes in a month or 2. I know were not making huge amounts of money out here but based on what I have seen I am pretty confident I will be making a better living. Not doing bad as company driver either but this was my goal when I started so that is where I'm going. Based on my research I should be bringing home to my pocket after all truck costs $55 to $60K year. Some company drivers can make close to that but it takes many years with the company or being in a specialized position.

Keep in mind I may only have less than 2 years recent driving experience but I am 48 years old, Worked as a project manager most of my life in large commercial companies. Have had my CDL for 18 years. Drove flatbed in the mid nineties for couple years, my best friend I have known sense high school has been a driver for over 25 years and a year ago become good friends with a SNI IC driver that was on the company side for 5 years. Trust me I didn't just decide to do this on a whim!

Hope your wrong will see happens.

I will say it again. I made 61k last year. Only been with SNI for about 2 years. Key word is dedicated. Some of our less experience drivers made in the mid 50s. Not bad for drivers only spending 2 to 4 nights out on the road. If you want big doe as an OO, go buy a truck out right.

    Hey all!

Been brewing and bubbling the last few weeks, and decided to reconfigure my blog to be more about trucking and Schneider issues... I'm on Facebook/Twitter, and have been connecting with MANY of the suits on LinkedIn... Hoping that they will see that we are not just "drivers" and can hold an informed and competent discussion...

    Here's my link:

If you can publicize to your friends I'd appreciate it!

Biggest problem I found with that is you have to live in certain areas to get on those kind of dedicated accounts. Maybe I'm wrong but dedicated accounts that pay well are not always easy to come by. Congrats on your earnings that is great!

Sucks in winter but in summer it could be a blessing retain all that heat will fool the sensor
