I did one DG DC to store load. After my first stop I sent a msg to my dbl saying if I got another I would put in my notice. Backing into a parking lot off a busy st isn't my idea of a good time.
One of the "rolltainers" tipped and #### near crushed my leg.
It took 8 hours to unload/reload with recycling and empty rolltainers. Hard, slighly dangerous workwork that endsa up being about $20 an hour.
Driving down the highway I make at least $21 an hour for easy, relatively easy work. Which do you think is the better deal?

Thanks guys, I have seen those DG trucks rolling around and I have been wondering about that account. Starting to see Werner starting to pull those trailers too.

Super dumper slow at French camp, got here around 11 this morning and there were more than a dozen drivers in the lounge lol taking a 34, finally slow freight season catches me lol

I got my truck this week and went out on the road. I was told yesterday that freight was slow and that they were routing me back to my OC to take the rest of the weekend off. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to take advantage of it but my question is why are they still hiring drivers by the dozens if freight is so slow? I finished orientation a week ago and there are still a few guys out of my class who haven't even got their truck assignments yet

I was over there when I first got off home time. After a week of slow freight my dbl got me a 2150 mile run from San Bernardino CA to Middletown OH. Been getting good miles over there. Now im trying to get home for some time off but slow freight on the west coast and Texas is making it difficult. Would have had over 3000 miles this week of it wasnt for today (drove 35 miles, then sat waiting for a preassignment that doesnt pick up until tomorrow.
