cant remember which thread or which page, but whoever mentioned qcomms going out I dislike you!!!! Had a new unit replaced when I was assigned this truck back in late July or early August. New black box, antennae and antennae cable.

Get to the truck this morning at 0300, Qcomm is dark and largely remained so until about 1500 when they replaced the black box. Been a year since I did paper logs. but I logged it as I did it.

My Qualcomm works except for it will not let me enter my empty trailer #'s. Anyone else notice that you don't get dispatched stops checked off navigation if you don't drive exactly to where the yellow star is? I think that is what's screwing up my out of route %

Question about the "Load" tab under "Hours of service"

Does each load need to be entered or is it just a way of drivers keeping track of the loads they've had? Thanks

Every load needs to be entered along with all trailers used on the load. For example if on Load ST105123909 you drop emtpy TA707456 and pick up loaded trailer TA132333 you need to have both trailer numbers and the load number entered. You should put in the BOL as well but if you don't it won't pop as a false log.

Also if you're off be sure to put "no load" in the load number box with the days off in the date range. It's dumb, I know, but a computer is only as smart as the guy that programed it.

For your OOR it doesn't matter if Navigo gives you a green check mark. When you get assigned a load the computer in Green Bay uses the same Navigo routing software to figure out the "best" (ie cheapest) route from your last assigned location to your pick up, and then from pick up to final delivery. That mileage total is what your OOR is calculated from. The miles you run to get to a fuel stop are not added in. IE you have a 200 mile run and are supposed to fill up at the Gary OC. You run the route exactly as Navigo wants, your OOR for that load would be about 3.5% as running from I-80 into Gary and back is about 3 miles.

    HotH2o Thanks this.

I'm on a load that deadheads 413 miles before pickup.
