Yeah I am thinking that is where it came from so have to watch when I go home next time. But have not seen where it hurts the OOR in the past. Guessing that it has a major effect around the end of the period. Thanks for asking. I am just going to lick my wounds and try next time. Keeping a closer eye on things and taking it from there. When you go into the gate they will inspect the trailer and sign off on it and give you a release to take when you drop the trailer at the border crossing. Every trailer that comes in gets inspected, so just follow the line.

They do that because Mexican drivers haul trailers out of Laredo.

I will be attending ATDS driving school in Elm Mott texas on the 22nd of this month. Does Schneider hire at the fields in texas for new graduates?

Yes they do. Last time I checked at least.

I too went to ATDS....11years ago.

Think 2% is to low for otr. I got a talking to by a weekend dbl about bob trailing home said if kept the truck at that OC my otr wouldn't be affecting as much. I go home once month so in reality it shouldn't at least not in the past. Oh well I missed my bonus by 2points. Need 95points for bonus I had 93 oh well. And my otr was 4% and fuel was high because I think there fueling practices hurt drivers more then help.

Going home was my number one problem with OOR miles when I was at Schneider. I would almost always get a load into Beech Island, SC when going home, and one out of there when coming off TAH. Either way, it was 85 miles from my house to BI. That, combined with their silly routing, made it a challenge to match the desired OOR percentage.

30 years. No, I wouldn't go Orange. No APU's. Idles only between 20 degrees and 70 degrees. Sometimes. Only team trucks will get those coast to coast trips.

Not true Klatu. I am a solo driver out of Fontana CA and I get runs to Florida non-stop all the time.

I was solo at SNI for 4 1/2 years, based out of Charlotte, living in SC. Not once did I see CA. Made it to Denver one time. Can count on one hand the times I ran west of Fort Worth.

Yeah I missed mine by about 8. But I went from negative .4% to a positive 4% in 5 days. Only thing I can figure was taking it home which was 40 miles OOR which I am approved to do since no OC anywhere near my house in KS and getting a load yanked enroute to Houston OC Enroute to PU. Was heading there to take a 10 and PU in morning. Like I said no issues but just scratching head and saying WT................Let you fill in last letter.
Heading to CT for a drop from outside Charlotte. Then hope to be routing back to the house after a "wonderful" 4-5 week cruise on pumpkin freightlines. Hope all have a productive rest of your week and see ya on the road...............
