Bottled. I don't do tankers. Like driving a rolling swimming pool.

I have hauled maybe one load of bottled water ever.

Now, straight chemical tank truck I ran for years. Driving in city traffic in the summer use to make me sea sick; seriously. I seemed to only get loads that were 2/3 full or so and the surge back and forth with the heat in the truck (NO A/C) the thermometer regularly hit 120c and cars exhaust fumes and all. That job flat wore me out. I would loose 30 lbs between Memorial day and Labor day every year. Glad those days are over.

Spent 2 days in Iowa messing around with a shipper because the trailer had those little cotton pieces in it. They were all jammed in the front wall. Even after I cleaned it twice they still rejected my trailer. Had the planners assign me a new empty to go back with.

Spent the night at the Iowa 80. That place is cool.

When I got to the empty in the morning the company it was at had already started loading it. Asked the woman loading it if she could please unload it so I could swap them out. She unloaded it, I walked in and inspected it before hooking up. Was a little better, had bits of shredded tire in the front wall but those were easy enough to clean out.

Went back to original shipper and spent 4 hours waiting for CS to figure out how to get me a new appointment. The shipper wouldn't accept that they had rejected me the previous day and I was still there from that appointment. The entire time I was there they had no less than 5/12 docks empty. Made me well over a day late for the delivery appointment.

The load was 40k lbs of sugar. In bags on pallets. Why does it matter that one little piece of cotton was on the floor?:biggrin_25510:
