I thought i read in the FMC hand book u dont have to log driving to and from work?? Im thinking of leaving at 7:30 am and gettin there around 8 30 or 9ish just gotta call the ramada and see if the shuttle can pick me up that late and to reserve my room... I dread that 820 miles tomorrow... But if a 747 can do it so can i!!!

Thanks tennman. Hey how hard is it with the E logs?? Does the system log u driving when you r wondering around a customer? I always wondered that lol.... Do the logs get in the way alot? Like running u out of hours more easily?? Im not to worried about running legal but you know the e logs are something i have never dealt w/ so helps to be slightly concerned

The elogs automatically switch you to the drive line after a mile, however driving around a customer if the logs trip just put yourself back off the drive line i always go to line 1. as long as it's less than 5 minutes it can be switched and all the time reverts to the line you switch too. also happens if you aren't stopped for 5 minutes. say you go to line 1 and are stopped 3 minutes then start driving if you reach a mile before you been on line 1 5 minutes say at 4.5 minutes all that time goes over to line 3 at the mile mark. so any time you are in traffic say and switch to line 1 you need 5 minutes before it doesn't hurt your drive time. and always go to line 1 whenyou can line 4 takes away from your 70. I haven't had a problem but i work it to my advantage any chance i can.

Ok just so i understand... If im lets says stuck in a wreck... I can switch it up to line 1 and as long as i dont go a mile in 5 min it will stay on line 1?? Does it switch by itself? Like if i pull into a receiver and dont have to to switch it to line 4 does it switch iteself? what if i forget to switch it to line 1 when off duty?? Any way to get that time back? Im forgetful.... Lol. And thank you so much lol I feel like i should be paying you lol. Maybe i should tell the big pumpkins to start!!!
-
It will switch to line 4 after you set the brakes. it will stay on line 1 until you go a mile regardless of the amount of time.

i look on SFI alot is those the only trucks they offer. cause dont really see any thing that interest me. know they are kinda high miles but guess thats ok cause they offer a good warranty right ?
