Insurance on my 06' Century is $126/wk, though she is payed for and older but call SNF for some real info, they won't bite. I have leased two new trucks from them in the past and they have done nothing but go the extra mile to assist me. More than once, when Freightliner tried to burn me under warranty, SNI came to bat for me and...grand slam. Same with Detroit. SNF brings a lot of leverage, finesse and diplomacy to the table and they have saved me more than $50k on repair in the last 13 years.

I see you came to your senses, those 2014/2015 will kill you on your maintenance cost probably hit you around $.15 a mile or more. Keep old betsy around a little longer, the 2016 models must get double digits mpg that the EPA wants, good luck with that.

all those DPF are too expensive to maintain, my friend of mine just bought a new 2015 Volvo vnl 730 with the coumis engine, been in the dealer twice, Emission problems, just over 6,000 miles

I keep hearing rumors about EGR finally being done away with, at that point these new engines will regain my interest as they will no longer be wearing themselves out. Will be interesting to see what the next few years hold.

    Thank you

I hope you all got a good warranty on the trucks with paying that amount.

I'm guessing if you run 110000 miles a year doing OTR your break even point is around $1 a mile right?

Ebay ad looks good! I have a question though... you wrote, "upgrading to a EPA 2012 or newer truck to keep current contract". Is Schneider really requiring you to do this for the 'Choice' program?

I doubt it, I've seen some beat up trucks pulling Schneider trailers.

tell you what though, if I had the money I'd buy that truck simply for those sexy headlights :smt007
