Ill gross right at 60k this year, and I'm what I'd call an average to slightly above-average runner. Good time manager. I guess I'm pretty confident and comfortable, but of course it's new to me, so there's the nervousness one might expect. But I'm pretty stoked about it.

So your grossing right around 1200-1300 a week after taxes probably around 900 on average so I'd say you can figure on taking home conservative as a owner op here on a,lease around 1200-1400 some weeks better but just a CONSERVATIVE AVERAGE ... so that's about 45% increase NET TO THE HOUSE

Yes, since Feb, 2012. Really pretty happy here, but with family on the west coast (L.A. area), I'm trying to allow myself the opportunity to get out there several times a year to see them, plus taking 34s at my own home once in a while won't hurt either.

LEASE vs BUY and money down !!!

Putting more than 3k down to get the TRAC MATCH with SNI is not recomended unless you plan to BUY the unit . Any more than that you are just basically paying for the rights to have a PREMIUM TRUCK.

If you are planning on buying that premium truck then no harm in putting down the 5k. However if you are LEASING you stand to potentially lose that additional 2k . If thats worth it to you then thats ok everyone has a different financial situation and different needs, but from a business aspect if your LEASING and not BUYING the truck then its wasted money .

I for one look at the TRAC MATCH as a SECURITY DEPOSIT , What it does is insures you complete the LEASE and when you do you get rewarded with the MATCH of dollar for dollar in return WHICH IS REALLY A GREAT DEAL.

    WHY ?

Well for the obvious reason its MATCHING YOUR FUNDS so its like getting a 100% ROI as long as you complete the LEASE.

BUT WHAT IF I BUY ?

Same thing they still match you and take it off your residual at the end of your LEASE, it can be looked at as a completion bonus in a sorts.

So keep in mind anything over 3k down which is the MATCHING CAP you are buying the ability to drive a nicer truck.

WHY DO YOU STAND BY THE FREIGHTLINER OVER THE KW & PETE ?

To clarify I do not have anything against the other trucks at all, however Im a numbers cruncher and I look at everything as a business expediture. I would love to buy myself comfort but at the same time every dollar out needs to be justified to ME... Now I am not saying that comfort is not a expediture but its just not one I want to buy. Sure the extra guages are nice and 4 more inches of bunk etc, but I can buy all those gauages for 200 with my SCAN GAUGE . I just look at things differently and chase every expense down to the PENNY ...

So I do not have anything against the other trucks ...

    NOW WITH THAT SAID ....

I WILL SAY THIS ... THE FREIGHTLINER DEALER NETWORK IS UNMATCHED ...

AND THE DD15 is not near as DEALER SPECIFIC as the PACCAR MX same can be said about VOLVO and MAXFORCE ...

So my choice also consisted on the DEALER NETWORK ALSO .....

    WHAT ABOUT WARRANTY .....

Freightliner = 6yr 600,000 2yr roadside assistance ( some parts more than warranty period cause SNI has direct ability to file for FL )

    PACCAR = 4YR 400,000

Freightliner has the superior warranty in terms of length of coverage

If you put 5K down they take that off the residual also so your not losing it. You only get matched to 3 k the rest is just your money.
