SCHNEIDER CHOICE PROGRAM - FREEDOM AWAITS " YOU " by JAR-HEAD

Been reading, and reading and reading… all the SNI posts haven’t found any one with similar situation to mine, so any info would be appreciated. [Seems to be the best thread for info] Long story short, 2015 will need to make changes in my current situation due to taxes and first kid off to college. I have been driving “local” for the past 4 years in Chicago. By local I’m home at night, but run as far as Ann Arbor, Indy,Madison type circle. The choice program looks like it would be an answer to my prayers, but do I qualify as is or would I need to run OTR as a company driver for some time? [saw a post that said 6 months but SNI website just says Class A experience] Finance would not be a problem as I have saved $ for years in hopes of just buying my own truck. Also note I ran 9 months for CFI before they got bought out by ConWay in 2007 and had to leave because of a terminal illness in the family. Clean record driving, no criminal record,and honorable discharge from Navy. I went to Fort Scott Community College for a truck driving certificate before CFI. I also have HazMat. Thanks again for any info.

 

I'm naming mine Charleen. My weapon, when I was deployed, was named the same and she never failed me, so I will carry on the name to my truck. Got the idea from the movie Full Metal Jacket. Worked for me.

 

You will likely qualify. I had 6 months otr and 4 local coming into this. They told me my resume looked fantastic, they liked my longevity with each company
