My understanding was speedway bought them out..and they are giving some of the Hess locations to PFJ. The Hess ex.77 in Wytheville is already a Pilot

Speedway bought hess, pilot owns speedway truckstops, so the hess /speedway will carry pilot fuel. Just like the kangaroo / pilot deal in sc [;4315225]My understanding was speedway bought them out..and they are giving some of the Hess locations to PFJ. I figured I would ask here instead of making my own thread.

For the choice O/O's, I know you can "route yourself" but if you do so, can you route yourself to stay in a specific region and still make decent? For example, let's say I became a O/O with the choice program and I wanted to stay in CA, NV, UT, AZ, NM and maybe Texas. Would you be able to route yourself around those areas and still make well enough to make your truck payments, set aside for expenses and pocket enough to live properly on? Also, is Los Angeles a good area to be a choice O/O out of? Furthermore, what kind of home time can you expect? Can you go out for 5 days or so and follow it up with a couple of days off or do you need to stay out longer?

Thank you kindly for any advice on the matter.

I have a question what would you say the average freight rate to the truck is on loads between 600 and 750 miles? I have been playing with numbers and it seems that at 125,000 miles per year if a person could get an average of around $1.50 including fuel surcharge you could make a really decent living.

The rates vary from .40 CPM to north of $3.00 CPM.....$1.50 cpm is doable on all miles....

    Hey jar.....

Please tell me more about your installation of the Right-Weigh? Who did it, did they charge you, good job? "cost"?.....

I was really looking hard at the "Air Weigh" Quickload Tractor. After the initial investment, it's really a nice tool to have...
