If your intention is to never own the Truck then and a 3 year lease gets you to Retirement then the question is What do you want out of it? is it just to mark it off the bucket list? Answer yes it will accomplish that. Is it to pay off the loans? Yes you can accomplish that. Is it to enjoy 3 years as an IC and control your comings and goings? Yes it will accomplish that. Is it to have more flexibility and freedom ? Yes it will accomplish that. Is it to work less and make more? No it won't provide that. But with hard work determination and the drive to succeed as well as the ability to save and willingness to learn and grow then I say YES it will work.

That is really a question you must ask yourself ..

What do I want to get out of this ?

    Be your own boss ^
    Make money ^
    Control your own destiny ^
    Vacation when you want ^

Here's the thing some don't look at . If it's just a I WANT TO JUST MARK IT OFF MY LIST TYPE THING .. I personally would steer you clear of it because this takes allot of dedication to succeed and with out the passion to do this type of work failure is just around the next corner .

Lots of Folks look at our successes and think ...
HEY I CAN DO THIS ... ITS NOT SO BAD

and it's not to the seasoned driver with passion and determination .. a lease is not a stop gap to retirement or to the next chapter in life.

What i am trying to say is that if you don't have the drive to succed in this then it may be best to weigh in this heavily before pulling the rip cord .

Now on the flip side of that is :

If your ready to make that jump and ready to put in the time and effort to succeed then this is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for you and we all are here to support anyone including your self to make that leap .

But leasing is not a decision I'd weigh lightly on is my point or something I'd do just to check a box to say BEEN THERE DONE THAT ..

I'm not sure I was as clear as I could have been, so you'll see a few of my clarification answers embedded above.

I think what I was really asking is this: Is three years enough? For example, when buying a house, 5 years is normally considered "enough" time to get out what you put in up front. I know buying or leasing a truck isn't the same thing, but there are similarities. It seems to be enough to me (all other factors being equal) but I've never done it. What say you who have?

3years is the longest term available .. however if you wish they will finance the residual for you if you rather keep the truck in the end . However at reccomended service intervals etc .. it would not be my recommendation to buy the truck in the end but to turn it in and get next truck . That's the premise of the lease .

Some use it as a avenue to ownership but it is not the intent of the Schneider program . The intent is to keep you updated every 3,years or 1,year depending on your lease choice and upgrade ... Wash , rince repeat
