    TennMan...

Taxes are based on an average of my last three settlements as a CO driver....
My CPA said i need to "hold back" 30% of my net for quarterly taxes.... Might be a little high, but better than owing...

    moosc...

Insurance is based on a family of four; two old farts, and two teens

    freightwhipper...

NO deductible we are a pretty healthy family

Do you have the financial reserves and mechanical knowledge and willingness to work on a truck yourself? If you do, there is nothing wrong with getting a used truck. If not, the obviously a truck with a warranty is really the only option. Are you talking about buying a used truck from a dealer or private party, or leasing a truck from SFI? I did the used truck on a 1 year lease deal - it worked well for me because I was willing to work on the truck myself. It was overall really reliable and treated me well for the year. However, if I did it again, knowing that I would just lease the truck for a year, and then turn it back in, I would have gone for a new truck. Why? Better MPG and warranty.

I originally planned to keep that truck and that's why I went the used route. If you just wanna test the waters I think the safest thing to do is go for a new or very low-mile used truck, still under manufacturer warranty, for a 1 year lease.

FYI, I know a person who was booted out of the class this week in Charlotte for high blood pressure... Probably the person mentioned earlier in this thread... Another driver not on the forum told me about it....

Regulations are getting stricter but at the same token ... You can't walk into a physical after smoking a carton of cigs and drinking 2 momountain dews in the morning or 3 cups of coffee and think things are gonna be ok.. you have to think if your heart rate is elevated with caffeine prior to doing the physical and it agility test that you are not gonna come close to a resting or semi resting pulse afterwards or even before if your caffeine induced from the start ..

    Food for thought

How does the sleep apnea work for ics? I know as a company driver they paid 100% for everything (at least they use to). I have a cpap now so do I just give them my card so they can see I've been using it?
