SCHNEIDER CHOICE PROGRAM - FREEDOM AWAITS " YOU " by JAR-HEAD

When I switch I'll be running Midwest too.. I love in Iowa.. I'd like to know this too

 

Just took a quick look. Coming out of Iowa pays pretty well, I'd say about 1.60, to Iowa a little less, maybe average, 1.30.

 

I've done months of research into this topic, read hundreds of pages of threads.. PM drivers and spoke to one of them on the phone.
No way noooo way would I quit my job and go somewhere else unless I knew and SAW the rates and what drivers are actually earning.
Even before joining Crete I told my recruiter to put my pay in writing because I didn't believe I could earn .43 CPM with less than a year experience. They did put it in writing and I have been earning $1100-$1300 a week.. that's a 7 day week though. Sure bets the $500 a week I was making at my first job but I had to take whatever place would accept me in the beginning and I didn't have many choices. Oddly enough Schneider offered me a job out of CDL school and I turned them down. At that time it was .26 CPM ahhhh

Anyway if I didn't have the utmost confidence backed by numbers then I wouldn't have joined.
There's drivers on here earning $1.70-$1.80 on ALL miles and mostly all drop and hooks. Sure most of that is dealing with the Northeast a lot but again it's your CHOICE to do so.
Please elaborate how I'd earn more with Dart? I read those threads and sites... they pay by the mile it's LESS than $1 a mile plus fuel.
Is that supposed to be good? Then there's Dart drivers talking about how they made no money and went broke.. all I see about Schneider choice is happy drivers that are doing well.
The threads on are here, there's lots of info to learn on here and I'm very grateful for that and the drivers that take their time to share.
I see ADs for Swift and us xpress everywhere, does that make them awesome to work with?
ADs mean nothing, I don't see ads for ABF and Old Dominion and their drivers are making a killing. I was very tempted with the LTL world because as a company driver you do very well and get home a whole lot more. If I wanted to be home a lot more I'd totally go with one of those two LTL companies.
However I don't care about being home, what am I going to do at home? Watch tv and go to walmart? I can do that anywhere.
I'd rather have my life be more interesting, take a reset someplace new every weekend ... go and explore the country etc.
As far as Landstar they're OKAY but you supposedly gotta deal with brokers and the good loads don't make it to the load board.
It's more of a hassle plus they don't have limitless drop and hooks like Schneider does.
Look if the rates were bad I wouldn't come, I've seen the rates and seen what other drivers earn.
If you're gonna be a choice driver and grab up all the cheap freight of course you'd do bad, just as you'd do bad at Landstar doing the same thing.
Nothing is permanent in life, even this be a stepping stone for me as a learning experience. The knowledge is alone through experience is very helpful.
I'm 100% confident I can earn more on choice than a company driver at Crete, BUT I'll have freedom, can plan a normal sleep schedule and book loads that take me away from bad ice/snow storms etc. Just that alone is enough reason for me to be ecstatic. I don't care how much more, I'm on pace for $50k at Crete and that's a lot to me because I have barely any living expenses. No kids, wife, car, barely any debt, cheap house payment etc.
Just two weeks at Crete I have enough money per month to cover all my living expenses and have money left over.
I'm not viewing this in terms of "I wanna make the most money I can".. I'm thinking.. I wanna be happy and enjoy my life.
After all what's the point of a job and money if you're unhappy right?

 

That'll be nice having the choice program on the bulk side. .
