Day 3 down. Had the driving test, passed which was really no surprise. The rest of the day was on the computers learning the Qual com stuff. Which I was having trouble with at first, becoming a little better now. The past 7 years I used loose leaf so this is all new to me. We was able to bring the trucks to the hotel if we wanted, have to check out in the am. Should be done tomorrow with all the bs stuff. Needless to say im beyond ready to get out on the road.

I'll weigh in on the phone thing. Yea it is policy here, but if you have been in this industry any length of time, you know that it will be industry wide anyway. This industry is so regulated that it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone anyway.

I have a camera but it faces front. Set on 15 min loop with a 32gb card. Records in hd. Has a g sensor so if I'm parked or In a accident it starts recording. It also starts recording if it detects movement in front of the camera like a person walking by or truck driving past. Very helpful for truck stops....

Like I mentioned earlier, Swift rescinded their no phone use policy last week and now allow hands free. So it would seem that some companies are backing a off of absolute no cell phone use policies.

Do you do the test drive with your truck? or a tester truck?

I never drove a 13 speed and that's what I'm getting, I might look foolish in the beginning lol
