    Alright, I've put in an application for owner op as well as schneider finance. Talked to the recruiter but she didn't want to go any further until I've talked to an ICA (Indipendant Contractor Agent?). Problem is, I have no idea of how to contact an ICA and my recruiters off until next week. Anyone have any names and numbers or are they supposed to call me?

    An ICA is an O/O's DBL. I never met or talked to mine until after orientation, why would you need to before?
    You do have to get approval from your dbl and safety to move over to Choice. Maybe she meant that?

    It only took me 2 days to join. Then the following week I was in orientation in Charlotte. That was 3 years ago.

    Well I am trying to talk to the SFI rep and we just keep playing phone tag. He called me last night on the way to the plant to pick up load and he said he would call me today when he called I was unloading windows and he said to call him when I was done I did and he did not answer. I told him it is going to be hard since I have several stops and I have to unload them. He said he is not allowed to talk to me while I am driving so this is going to be fun. Maybe it is just not meant to be.

    I am trying to make a decision between SNI and JCT.

    At SNI you can pick where you run and for how much, at JCT they dispatch you from those I've talked to. I vote for SNI and I will admit I'm biased but the choice program gives YOU control over whether or not you Succeed or Fail... Not some dispatcher...

    Well that would just make too much sense then, wouldn't it? Well then in that case, I have already talked to my dbl, just need to wait until my recruiter returns on monday! I can not wait to start picking my own freight and running my own business, I get to deliver this Pier 1 load tomorrow morning with 3 driver hand unload stops, not a fan!

    To compare to JCT ..

    I booked 2 loads this week well 3 one canceled and I redid my plan

    KY to OH - 502 miles = $1069.29
    OH to TX - 1029 miles = 1627.03
    load cancelation $ 150

    $ 2846 gross ( 3.5 days )
    1589 miles ( includes DH )
    Running mile $1.79

    now ow compare to JCT

    0.92 plus fuel = 0.44
    total $ 1.36

    1589x 1.36 = $2161.00

    2846-2161 = 685 ( same 3.5 days )


    revenue per day =

    2846 / 3.5 = $813

    2161 / 3.5 = $617


    I would say the variable cost go in the SNI favor also because .. The lighter loads to choose from and more drop and hook ..
