    That's understandable

on the flip side though in 2009 I bought my first truck cause I was laid off and it was about the only way I could support my family with the loss of that income I had of roughly 80k yearly . Now I didn't jump in and buy a brand new truck I worked my way up from a 10k truck in good shape ( 2002 ) up to a 2006 now .. Lol

but it I understand your view point but I have a big family to support wife -.3 girls 2 boys 2 dogs 3 cats
so it can be done and done to your advantage if you take the correct steps to do so and out of the kids
4 of the 5 are teenagers and the youngest is 10 .

Just wanted to to tell you that story cause like I said it can be done but you just have to do it right and think it through .

Just my my testimony as how I started as a owner operator .

How'd you get your first truck though? For me to save 10,000 would take about 65 years at my current rate. Haha. we literally have no money left after bills are all paid for.
My dad always told me you never get rich working for someone else because they decide your salary while theirs is decided by how hard you work.

Financed it , and then I paid it off in 6 or 7 months in full and saved from that point and traded in 2012 for the 2006 truck

Most personal loan companies ( not banks ) .. Will give up to 10k on a secured through auto loan . It's higher interest but you can get going doing it . I'd suggest you pay it off as fast as you can but it's a starter ..

Now you will need a Maint fund up front , on my deal I put down 2000 and I got a loan for 15k which gave me 5k in operating cash flow but my loan was 13k so I gained 3k in operating funds by putting down 2k and then no payment for 45 days and my payment was 433 a month I think or maybe it was 533 but none the less it was a cheap start up

The next trick is find a good older truck that's not ragged out and the seller will possibly provide Maint records on ..

Its doable .. I did it

I was surprised when I talked to my credit union yesterday to find that they don't offer any kind of business loans.

I considered that, it may be an option although the interest rate was a little higher than I had hoped, 10-11%.

I'm talking with a local company that does financing for heavy equipment and seeing what kind of rates they would offer. We will see how that turns out.

Transport Funding is one to look at .. They are the financing behind Arrow Truck Sales
