You can get about anything you want if you put down enough money
but keep in mind when putting down a ton of money on a lease that your not buying EQUITY - unless you finance the truck after the lease term .. If your goal is to release a truck I would not reccomend big money down
knuckledragger Thanks this. -
Now if I decide to go thru with this , I will option one out and go thru the entire purchase with it .

Tonight I'm hanging out on 70 west of Columbus at the rest area

I've got a few other options I'm looking at , and a few people who are wanting this truck around home . That's why I decided to maybe buy another one . If I get my asking price I'll pay off a bill I have and put 10-15k down on the new truck . I've opted to not participate in the SNF Maint program so I'll just be doing truck note only and insurance of course .
If I decide to go forward were looking at a few months before I commit to anything just yet .
Arrow ow made me a good offer on a 2013 EVO with Tri PAC , specced nicely and could even get premium trade on my truck as it's desire able now . Not many times have I seen a time where you could buy a 2006 in 2012 trade it in 14/15 and get more out of it than you paid for it .. People want these series 60's bad they are bringing top dollar right now I've saw these trucks go up 8-10% in the last 3 months alone .
Now I know if I do this and get rid of the desire able engine / truck I could shot myself in the foot with new emissions etc .. But on second thought I am in the business for the long term and part of the game is upgrading on a routine once you depreciate out ... And I'm at the end of my 3yr cycle so it's decision time ...
Could be be a time though where the ole saying " ITS CHEAPER TO KEEP HER " comes into play
We shall seeTennMan Thanks this. -
Problem I see with the pre emission engines is the industry is accepting the emission standards and the states are going to adopt CARB compliance eventually and I believe with in the next 3 years. It will be hard to find a place to run that pays worth a darn once that happens. As of now it's a good engine to have but in a few years it will be one big ole paper weight. If it were me I'd sell while demand is up and prices too.
scatruck, knuckledragger, moosc and 1 other person Thank this. -
These newer trucks are giving out much less problems with the emissions, I wouldn't worry too much about it and go with the new truck if you're ready for it.
-
How much are you selling for? if you dont mind and how many miles you got?

If I was gonna get a new truck id get a brand new 2015 Freightliner. They seem to have the least amount of problems. I think that's in part to big fleets using them more than the kW and Pete so the problems have been found faster and fixed already.
atruckr Thanks this.
