Jarhead, from a little digging around it looks like the Allison TC10 might also be an option in Freightliners now. Just another thing to consider and test drive to see if you like it. This is a true auto transmission with a torque converter, not a computer controlled manual with a clutch like the DT12 and Eaton autoshifts.
Torque converter locks after 4 MPH and all shifts are locked after that so there is no power loss from fluid coupling. MPG increases were very impressive.

That shift selector looks the same as my old HEMTT wrecker and the 915/916. Allison makes a bulletproof tranny, very well tested
dieselfuelonly Thanks this. -
That is a sweet transmission. Wish I had one.

Just curious...Is there loads on the choice program going into Canada?
-
Nope only in the US.

Like DFO said nope , even if though it's tough to reload out of there anyway and fuel cost is by the liter and HIGH so TGE rate would need to be $3.00 plus to even support the notionBoethel Thanks this.

Is anyone driving the PACCAR Engine in a KW with a 13 by chance ? Wondering about economy with the 1650 F# to 1750 F# of torq
-
I see a lot of lease guys with swift having the kW. I would assume they would be similarly specced minus the 13. Most likely a 10. Might ask one of those guys.
