Laughing at your comment about the hills. Yep empty trailers is about all I've pulled so I know I'm in for some fun. I'm sure the trainers are used to seeing a lot of rough shifting...keeping my fingers crossed that I do ok. Already mentally thinking about my gears and speeds and running it all through my head. Nothing like a little pressure. For example the guy from the DMV that came out to our school to test us was an ex marine and had a drill sergeant attitude. Nothing but business. I remember grinding a little on the road test and his dead stare just looked over at me and pretty much said if I do that again I'm done lol. Luckily I hit a bunch of green lights at the end of the route so I know that helped and I was grinning ear to ear when I realized it. Plus we had construction to go through and he commented that I wasn't going the speed limit (I was going 25 in a 35) and I just told him I was being cautious with the light rain and traffic. Needless to say I kicked it up a gear and stepped on the throttle to make him happy. I ended up passing on the first test but I couldn't have been any more nervous!
