I guess, different ppl think different plans and outcomes. He might of just wanted to be nice to himself and return equipment in good order, yet not loose opportunity to make up for it. I don't really care, just throwing a few thoughts here and there to kill boredom)

You're correct. OP actually states that was his intentions in one of his previous posts.

Yes, but did he tell Schneider that?

    Doesn't look like he did.

We are a bunch of meanies.

I recommended a guy for termination just because he couldn't identify the truck entrance to a customer. I mean, how petty is that? How could he have known which driveway to use? We only looked at the satalite image, talked about how it's the 4 driveway after making the final turn and that the sign says "Rays Warehouse" instead of "Bad Frozen Pizza, Inc".

His termination also had nothing to do with the fact that he didn't watch his gauges so his speed bounced up and down, took 30 minutes to trip plan a 100 mile load, couldn't execute a button hook and didn't complete a single back where I didn't have to stop him from hitting something. Nope it was all because he missed one turn. The kicker is I only told him he was behind schedule on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - how was he supposed to know? Isn't it normal to have to add pages to the standard evaluation form? /sarcasm

    When I was a bosss..........
"Hey, man. I see you're late today. What's up?"
    "well, you know, ummmmmm........"
Yeah, right I get it. But we really need for you to be on time. Ok?"
    "Ummmmmm, ok."

    Two weeks later.....
"Dude, man, I see you were late again today. Look, we plan on people being on time, and I really need for you to be on time."
    "Ummmmm, ok."

    A week later......
"Johnny, look, this is not going to end up well. You were late again; 3 times in less than a month."
"Ummmmmm, yeah well you really don't understand......."
"Yeah, well apparently it's you that don't really understand. One more time late within the next 6 months and you're gone."
"Man, why you gotta be such an ***hole??!!"

Right, but all that detail isn't going to appear in the DAC report.
