Pretty uneventful week last week. I'm sitting at the Pilot in Danville taking my 10. I was planning to get home tonight but I had a pretty tight schedule to meet today, and everything needed to fall into place, but I got held up on a live unload today and that threw a wrench in my day. Oh well, I have my next three loads for tomorrow. It will be another busy day approximately 547 miles tomorrow. Which when running OTR wouldn't be a bad day, but when running the rail and having to go to the rail yard twice with three other drop and hooks it makes for a busy day.
We are two drivers short, one new driver quit, and another driver had a chargeable accident last week, so his fate is still up in the air. I wouldn't be surprised
if they hire a couple more drivers soon. We are using O/O's from another company to help us out for the time being. Be safe.

Nothing new to report of any interest. Things are going to be pretty busy the next month or so, they said to plan to work the next few Saturdays and may even have to run a load on Thanksgiving. My philosophy has always been to get it while the getting is good.
Another nice thing about having a semi normal life again is that I can get back to working out at the gym again. I have always enjoyed trying to stay in shape, but we all know how difficult that can be running OTR. A few years ago when I was working working in the oilfield in Texas I started working out again on a regular basis, and really enjoyed getting back into the gym. This weekend I joined a gym down the street and hope to at least get in there 4 times a week. I need to drop about 25lbs that I have put on over the years and get back to living a healthier life. Be safe!Weeble Kneeble, JohnBoy and thedouble Thank this. -

I went in this morning about 0500 and ran a load to S. Boston, Va., and grabbed a damaged trailer to bring back to the OC. On the way back my DBL asked if I would do a local pick up for him. We weren't going to be eating dinner until about 1500 at home, so I agreed. I was done by 1230, and now I'm sitting at the house enjoying family and some football. Tomorrow I have to pick up a load at the rail yard and drop at Wal Mart in Hope Mills, NC and then do a live load in Kinston, NC that goes back to the rail. Have a great Thanksgiving and be safe.

Well my live load in Kinston turned into a fluster cuck pretty quickly, it took 5 hours to get loaded, so that screwed my chances of getting home tonight. I shut down in Kenly, and will drop this at the rail yard in the morning and grab my load for Monday. Be safe and have a good weekend.

One thing I love about this job is the consistent paychecks. It's almost like I'm getting paid a salary. My check are within $25 dollars every week. With my benefits coming out each week, and working a five day work week I'm averaging $875 bring home every week. I was told I should be getting a new truck after the first of the year, my 07' is due to be taken out of service in January. Be safe and have a good weekend.
JohnBoy, Weeble Kneeble and dave1984 Thank this.
