Don't do it especially from a mega carrier. I don't think I have actually read anybody saying they would recommend doing a lease purchase through a big carrier. Everything I have read is either be a company driver or go the O/O route.

as a company driver at Schneider I talked to a few solo Lease drivers that where very happy but never had time to get all the details of the risks they face, except one told me its all in the warranties that cover your cost if things break. and then after the truck is paid for its all gravy...
I don't know round numbers i.e. costs for a Schneider lease.

I was a recovery driver at CR England and I talked a lot of drivers out of leasing there, but they are set-up to fail there by design (and by England Greed).

I'm an ex-SNI company driver, and I thought about leasing at one time. I will say that based solely on conversations with SNI lease ops, they're better off than most other lease/ops at other companies. But I'd still prefer to own my own and lease it to them if I had a choice between the two.

Nor did I, at least the money. Credit is fine...but still too many kids in college!

You could stay a company driver until you do. Patience is a virtue.

SNI's lease has same completion rate as Prime, England, Swift, etc. And didn't think credit was an issue if you go to Lone Mtn. Just need to have the down payment. And if you can't save up the down as a company driver then it is likely that your personal expenses are too high to be taking the risk with a lease or being an O/O.

    The Snowman Thanks this.
