    Hey Rock
But in doing all that you need a Physical Texas address, correct? Dont know if I can run two different addresses, I was gonna keep the family here. Maybe not

Good point rockdoctor, everything needs to be weighed, and if it is required by the employer and his customer then that is the way it has to be.

There are many drivers here who have homes and families in other states because they came here to work. My trainer was going to try and keep his info in a state back East but then he saw Schneider taking the state taxes out of his pay and figured it would be cheaper to move his info to Texas. You have to live somewhere to work on the account so you will have a physical address for the area in TX you work. You could probably keep your old license and no one would know but then again you can never tell on this account.

IMG_20120805_100634.jpg Just returned from North Carolina, we picked up 5 new Freightliners for the BP / Conoco Account in Corpus Christi, TX. The truck ran 63 on the foot feed and 59 on cruise. These trucks have the Onguard collision avoidance system. Once you understand how it works you can relax and let the computer control the speed relative to the vehicle in front of you. I know alot of Drivers will say I'm not letting a computer dictate my driving. That's fine just step on the gas and "Acclerator Override" will let you control the speed. However if you get to close to other vehicles, it will beep at you until you back off to a safe following distance. [NO OVERRIDE FOR THE BEEP BEEP] The neat thing is it tells you how fast the vehicle in front is going and how many feet in front it is. [ Great for those foggy Texas mornings ] The system will also activate the Jakes and apply the brakes if needed. View attachment 34276

This may have already been answered but will Schneider hire a recent grad for an oilfield account?

I did and they told me that I would have to go OTR before I could go either tanker or oilfield

It seems that an answer depends on which recruiter you talk to. I have never been told that you have to do OTR first. Maybe their system is changing....IDK :biggrin_25517:

I would call back and talk to a higher up. I have talked to 3 people at Roehl about a DUI policy and got 3 different answers. I talked to 2 people at Prime about about employment gap and got 2 different answers. I talked to Schneider about their DUI policy and got 2 different answers. Pretty scary.

I had a similar system I was using and it did not work in the heavy fog. I kept getting false 'collision alert' signals when nothing was there or around an overpass. Also, when there was ice falling, it did not work.
