Of course I am being told about the pay freeze with SNI, but also the drivers will get theirs first. We will see I guess.
I do not want to jinx myself with this dedicated stuff but it is a large manufacturer close to my house. I am told they are hiring several new drivers and it is a new contract. However, right now with SNI, there are no less than 4 dedicated (plus one home daily) job within 30 minutes of my home. Within 15 miles either way I would recon there is close to 200 SNI trailers sitting waiting to be hauled, unloaded, or moved.
I guess I am sort of answering my own questions here. I wanted to go with SNI, and I was upset that I was all set to go yesterday and got held up by a blip on my my final conversation with them before leaving out. I had to acquire some additional paperwork which I didnt have immediate access to, and , well it just pissed me off so I started to look elsewhere.
For the record all of the people on both sides have been wonderful to work with so far, very informative to a new driver involving things having nothing to do with my actual personal employment or application.

At least you'll be with someone that "should" be able to help you out with more than the route. I know you hear that since you've got your CDL, that you already know how to drive. Not true by a long shot. There's much more to driving than holding the license.
At any rate, I really wish you good luck with SNI, I liked it there.
Now go out there and be a sponge with that trainer, you'll be fine, driver! -
The only thing I admit to knowing is how to get a CDL. There are hundreds of things I have never done, do not know how to do, or do not even know that I dont know.
At any rate, wherever I end up, I will be a sponge and do everything I can to absorb everything I can from my trainer while asking the dozens of questions I have written down already.

There ya go! That'll work for ya!!

I filled a envelope with cash for extra training from my trainer!

Paying a trainer cash sounds like a decent idea.

Teddy Salad Thanks this.

As for Roehl, you get as much training/backing as you want. If at the end of training you don't feel comfortable, just say so.
I'll say this, when I went out on evo3 (last part of training, solo) I felt very comfortable on my own. Evo 3 dispatch is very good at watching over you.
Also with Roehl being smaller, people get to know you pretty quickly.
I guess every company has good and bad sides. All I know is my fleet manager cracks me up, my miles are good and every time I start after home time my FltMgr asks when I want to be home. She got me home late once.
Again I can't say Roehl is the best or worst. All I know is I like my job and plan on staying. -
