I ran part time with Schneider regionally in Texas, and they treated me fairly well. I know a few people who have spent 5+years with Swift, and they are actually happy.
Both get a bad reputation, but I would have to say I think Schneider has better training.
But if I were to ever go OTR again I would require an diesel APU. The ability to run an APU on a 34, and even to set the “perfect temp” in your sleeper every night during your 10 will increase your quality of life tenfold imo. Neither Swift nor Schneider runs diesel APUs.

Danny Herman Trucking is dry van and trucks are loaded with driver comfort features. New cdl school grads are hired there. Lots of runs to Southern California. No Northeast.
