Yeah, I'm really wondering about they're training schedule. Recruiter I'm working with, says, 4 weeks school, one week orientation in Indy OC, week with TE, another week orientation/final test, back to my home OC and get a truck. Say's they start you out slow to get the hang of it, then progress to longer/more loads.

Passed my DOT physical last week, already have the CDL Permit, passed the PWA, so they're ready for me to start school. I've got a one shot consulting gig coming up that will pay decent $$$ for a couple weeks, so trying to put them off for a couple weeks. Also doing contract courier work with my own van, need to get the wife trained to do it so she can continue it when I"m at school. Didn't really expect this deal with SNI to materialize, sort of "not sure I want to belong to a club that would have me for a member" deal. :biggrin_25523:

Yes those schools have their good pros to it but they also come with a lot of conns as well. Conway is the same way. They have you sign a 1 year contract to stay with them. I guess at least you get paid while you train at schneider at conway you dont get paid for the 13 weeks you are in training. The say its because they are not charging you for the training up front so that is why they dont pay you. Plus you really dont start making good money or even driving until maybe after year2-3 because everything is based on seniority and there is too many drivers ahead of you when you first start.

SNI will pay for CDL school, but not pay me during the 4 weeks I'm at CDL school. Pay only starts at orientation and with TE. I wouldn't guess they would pay during initial CDL training I wouldn't think.
