I am a newbie trying to make a informed decision about my first trucking job. I live in south Tn 30 miles north of Chattanooga. I have job offers from Covenant, Werner, US Express, USA, Roehl and Schneider. Schneider says they have a dedicated General Mills account that I would qualify for that starts out at 29 cpm, then 33 at 6 months, 35 at a year average miles 2500 a week. I could also start orientation in a week. Whereas Roehl has a waiting list for females to start orientation the end of August, first of September. I have narrowed down my choice of companies to Roehl, Schneider, Conway(CFI), or Crete. I am looking for information and advice about these companies.:biggrin_25524::biggrin_2552:

If you can really get the dedicated route at that price, I think that would be the best. Going the same route while not as exciting is a lot less stressful and you'd soon find the best places to stop, times to drive and arrive, you'd always know what's expected, it'd give you a chance to get familiar with handling a big rig without worrying about getting lost and a million other things, and the pay is not bad for a beginner.

If you want to "see the country",Crete is a good company with better pay and benefits than most and they keep you on the road 6 weeks at a time with required fuel stops at designated places.

Don't know much about the other two.
