Ok I don't think too much of the companies you mentioned as far as i can see they look like a paper sack full of AAA holes but since you don't have the know how yet and need a half way respectable check and you are going to get paid crap money no matter who you work for? Find a company that Run Teams This way you will get the Max miles and keep the log book points off of your record ( stay away from FOOD companies ) You don't need damaged freight deductions Fedex ups ,dry freight .flatbeds etc It's NOT EASY Driving Team Its the last thing I want to do but for what you have to offer at this time this would meet the financial problem you have now and you will have to make sure that your co-driver that you work with is someone you can trust while you are taking your 10 hr nap

I can get by on 23k net but not 23k gross. All of the websites for these trucking companies claim you can make 30k to 50k a year. Is that all bull? I need to provide for my family and honestly I'd do almost anything at this point but I want to build a career that I control not that a corporation can cut me from for no good reason. An MBA is not worth the paper it is typed on anymore.

This is a lie. I bring home more than 650 a week with Roehl and that's with them taking at least 150 out for taxes. I've been driving for 6 months @ .34/mile

Go with Roehl. They pay better and treat their employees with respect.

I looked at Roehl but when I plugged in my zip they said they are not hiring in my area. Thats why I looked at the other three.

    MUSTANGGT,

You must be psychic! Looks like my options are Conway, Schneider, and then Swift. I was really wanting Conway so I am applying to Alliance Trucking in Chatsworth and hopefully start training mid july. I have some things to wrap up and get taken care of with my VA benefits but this looks like the career I should have been doing years ago.

I've made more than that already this year, with Swift flatbed... and this is my 2nd year driving.
