You will be fine just keep your record clean and after a year you will be making at least 60k a year with another carrier. I had no problems when I was with Schneider with the exception that they can't compete on pay. Which of course is a huge deal but as a rookie they can get you that experience to a better job.

I been in Tanker for a Year with Schneider and training is rigorous. They do have a good training program and the first six months are tough.
The recruiter told
me that I would get 2300 miles a week and travel all 48 states. BIG LIE.
They keep you almost .....all the time..... East of Nebraska and most of the time between Chicago
and New Jersey and Texas.
I worked 12 to 21 days as Over The Road Driver and home about 6 days a month.
Not worth it. I'm leaving. If I had to start over, I would had chose Superior Carriers as I heard from another driver that they pay 50 cents a mile loaded to
new drivers and 42 cents unloaded, and they have a great training program. If you train in Coraopolis with Schneider, let me warn you to bring mud boots with you. It is a muddy parking
lot there for the training and it's like the army boot camp. -
when I first started at SNBC I was constantly going from Houston to Pennsylvania (occasionally to Corapolis)
42? I was only making 39
what do you mean by "not worth it?" please explain -
.50 loaded is correct, but only .40 empty at Superior. Not trying to derail, just thought I'd throw that out there.

It's all good and fine to say you would go with Superior or Trimac like they are one of these companies that hire everyone with a pulse. They are not I can assure you. Both companies reject far more than they hire. For instance, at Trimac you would be hard pressed to find more than one vacant truck at any terminal. Sure the occasional student does get hired but you shouldn't count on it as a for sure thing.

I wanted to work at Quality Carriers, but I don't have a TWIC so they rejected me

All how many miles are tankers getting at snieder? How is the equipment? I was told young cascadias. I was planning on staying out three weeks in hopes of doing some out west runs, so this is not possible?

Schneider is not worth it because they still only pay $10 per hour for detention pay and most all
companies pay more for detention pay. Also, Schneider Tanker only pays $65 per day for a layover
and I was getting about 1 or 2 layover days per week where I do nothing but sit in a parking lot
all day. Most other companies pay $100 for layover pay. I was getting long runs in the
beginning, but then they started screwing me to take short runs where there is no money in
short hauls of 350 miles per day. I complained but they do nothing to compensate me more money.
