    What would be the advantage in learning e-logs now rather than later ? There is no standard system . Every carrier has them set up with different options .

    The advantage is obvious. Elogs are inevitable. Learning to maximize his time using elogs will only benefit him in the future. Also it will remove any temptation on his part or the companies part to fudge hours.
