Alot are ready for the junk heap. Can you imagine the waiting line for a decent truck?

I have a hard enough time getting the mechanics to fix the little things wrong with my truck:biggrin_25510:

3500 new trucks this year is what I was told. Bad part is they will have frontal radar that will apply the brakes if you are within 500 feet of another vehicle. Braking can be moderate to hard. The radar is being used by some Prime trucks and the #1 complaint their drivers have is that is has false activation on some bridge shadows.

    I heard the same thing.

That said....my man was sittin in Atlanta and one of the new guys was issued a truck and right away they had to put it in the shop, so he couldn't even get on the road for two days.

    wonder where those trucks are????:biggrin_25521:

Just sittin in the motel room...waiting.

Lol, I'd rather stick with my old pos. Wouldn't be very fun having a deer run out in front of you on snowy or wet roads and have the truck slam on the brakes :biggrin_2554:

Wonder if the driver is held liable for a situation like that even though the truck actually caused the problem automatically? Probably, which is why I would refuse to drive such a vehicle.

Exactly. Not too long companies will get rid of drivers all together. Trucks will all be controlled by computers and there wonderful gps and geo fencing softw:biggrin_2556:are. now that would be a sight!
