The fuel was too high north of the border.

Agreed. Fuel prices are ridiculous. But I thought these mega fleets had fuel discounts? When I worked at challenger we rarely fueled within Canada, it was always stateside.

Gotta wonder now about company's like Transforce who are gobbling up everything in sight. This behemoth must be riding a mountain of debt, yet they are insisting their drivers get vaxxed. My company was bought out by these guys a couple months ago which was one of the motivating factors for me to jump ship.

I wonder if those discounts apply in Canada, they could at least knock off a dollar per liter lol

I'd love that. Fuel under $0.50/litre. I remember back in the 90s when fuel hit $0.65/litre and all the crying that came with it lol.

I’m sure a lot of you guys are not sad to see them go but for a lot of drivers me included they gave me a shot and put me in a $100.000+ piece of equipment then the value of their customers freight when other companies kriska included wouldn’t . Having a learning disability it takes me a little longer to learn new things and at schneider the trainers actually spent the extra time with me unlike my current company who back in 2008 let me go and actually said to try schneider because they can spend the extra time . In my opinion them leaving just means newbies will have a lot harder time getting their first job and the experience needed to move on
