Good news all, I passed my backround/physical etc. and am scheduled to start training with Schneider March 15th in Carlisle PA
Was curious anyone from the forum attending???
Training is 14 days straight, 10 hour days (with breaks of course), followed by an average of 2 weeks on the road with a driver trainer. I will have to have laser-like focus to get through this. Am considering getting my own single room to make it easier.
I have learned so much from this forum, in such a fast time, it is crazy. Will keep you updated.

Had 10am conference call today with Schnieder informing all the March 15th students what to expect. Overall went well, the DBL seemed like a good guy.
We were all on the call for bulk division, and there was much confusion wiether who is regional or network. Apparently the recruiters didn't make this clear to anyone. So he went around asking everyone regional or network, almost all said regional, but we'll see what really happens. I called the recruiter and she said there are no regional only network in my area. The schneider facility that contains the trucks is in carteret NJ.
Decided to get a single room for my training and pay the $32 a night out of pocket.
Will keep you updated. -
I went through Carlisle about a year ago in the bulk division.
You will have a good time overall and leave there ready to drive! They never told me any stories and all the refund costs were there as promised.
Food is good at the Op center too, Se my other threads -
Appreciate that

Congrat's man, good luck! I applied on March 3rd and still haven't heard anything from Schneider. How long from the time you applied to the day you were contacted? I've read many forums and some people said it was 24 hours and up to a week and some said they just got a letter saying they were not hiring for that area. I'm stressing it hanging out here. I'd really like to make some plans, pack and get a storage unit, but I wont until I can sort out a time line. *sigh* So far no letter so I guess that's good news.

I'd keep on the recruiter, once you get their extension they are easy to reach. If you don't have a recruiter yet call to check on your status, you could be missing information on the application, in which case you become a low priority. Once you reach a recruiter you'll get their extension and can bug them accordingly.
Before you'll know it , you'll be in class.

By the way, do you know if Schneider allows laptops to be mounted inside the truck for navigation?
