Good looking truck.
Is that a freightliner?..
Thanks for the name to contact an I will do this.
Also, I do have a recruiters name in Charlotte N.C. area for Schneider
Given to me by a recruiter in S.C. at a school close by that I was talking too
and pass's info too me when he thinks it could help.
If you have the time at some point tell me about the company your likes an dislikes if any.
This is some of the info I am looking for so I can a better choose where I need too be and be happy
about it an no real guess work and saying to you self did I make the right move !!..
Been out of work awhile now, had paid off all my bills an not enough money now too pay for school
so I am looking at the company schools.
And if Schneider can do it. I have not a problem giving them there two years.
Would like too find a home.
If I may ask how long have you been with Schneider now..

Just spent some time sending email to you for it not to go thru..
Great advise from you and RickG, agree with both of you 100%..
But as being out of work for awhile and had paid off all my bills not much money left for school.
Programs out to help seem to be closed to me for what ever reason, so kind of leaves me doing the company school thing.
have D.O.T. card from doctor, 20 plus years clean D.M.V, no criminal record not one thing to hide.
Finger prints on file with people like A.T.F ,F.B.I, Sled, except T.S.A...
Because I have a concealed weapons permit sence the 1980's and other job requirements for the time.
Doing my studies now for the class A permit and tanker an hazmat test.
I am it seems to on the same path as you went down in many ways an still am.
You can't keep me down for ever, I will get up an you know what you want and not going to let anyone tell me I can't have it. NO refer, No van, No flatbed in my future, you love what you love..
Any more advise you can give or you hear of any thing that I might check into please let me know...
Like you these people may get tired of hearing from me but oh well..
Thanks

Not sure why you can't send emails unless you don't have the required number of posts yet. Sometimes that's the issue.
You sound like you have the attitude and fortitude required that will help you go far in this industry ... or at least, as far as you want. I can relate to the being broke thing while going to school ... it definitely was a lean time for me as well.
Start applying to companies when you're about half way through school. Where it asks for your CDL#, simply list your permit# on the applications. Where it asks, "Did you graduate from a truck driving school?" simply put the projected date of your graduation. About two days after putting in your application begin calling the companies to check on the status of your applications. And don't be afraid to travel for your first job if necessary. I was willing to work for companies a state away if I had to.
Keep on keepin' on and keep us posted.oldB52 Thanks this. -
Hello ; RickG
I also agree with you, but have been out of work for awhile and the company thing may be the only way back for me at this point , still working on things.
Yes some times that company school then work for them, does not work out, but if you can find that right one and its got too be there, then its worth every thing you go thru.
Any advise you can send or willing to give, am always open to it.
Thanks

Got to get the school first the studies are on my time right now you know jump start !!??..
But yes sir, you are correct in what you say here.
Thanks for your reply, and the kind remarks.
That's the kind of backing you would exspect from a recruiter you would think ??, so are you an RickG saying maybe put the recruiter on the hot set an ask why no tanker division for me but I kind of hear other ??. -
Yea, man. Always ask questions from the recruiter. Be cool about it, simply tell him your research led you to find others who are/were able to jump into the tanker division and ask why he/she is telling you different.oldB52 Thanks this. -
Check with drivers in the PRIME forum . PRIME is better paying and gives better training but they reject a higher number of applicants . That is where the danger is with company training . You could complete the school and get rejected by a trainer or be terminated for a minor accident or violation of company policy . Then you owe for the school and don't get any training certification . If you can't afford a private school you can't afford to risk owing a carrier even more .oldB52 Thanks this.
