Schneider does not have an in-house school any longer.....unless they've restarted their program very recently! They are also kinda picky about the private schools and community college programs they accept. -
yeah I got you pm and I thank you for that.I will probably stick with swift.I was just checking other options like every one seems to stress.but swift seems to be the one for me so far..I don't know if I have read yet,but who do you drive for? Thanks for the info.
JustSonny Thanks this. -

what all did the recruiter tell you?I just want to get all the info I can.Are you driving your pov or are they paying for you way grey hound?Just wondering.
JustSonny Thanks this. -
The recruiter will send you an email with attachments that explains pretty much everything.
They do provide transportation via Greyhound to Millington but my son (35) is going to take me up to Millington next Saturday. I don't see the need to have a POV there.
You've asked about pay. I don't expect to see any pay whatsoever until I've been out with a trainer for at least two weeks, so basically I expect to deal out of my own resources for at least a month to 5 weeks. There are plenty of unknowns but keep in mind....many have gone before you, there is a system in place, work with the system, lower your expectations, learn as much as you can before making a final decision. There's tons of stuff to be learned here on the forum, not just about Swift but about living and surviving as a trucker. Latch onto some of the members who "tell it like it is". I don't mean the whiners and moaners, I mean the ones who shoot straight about the good and the bad but have maintained their professionalism throughout.
There a quite a few Swifties who post regularly here. Read the Swift threads to find out who they are and what they're all about.
DO NOT RUSH INTO THIS! I'm an older wannabe but I've taken 7 months to research, both about the industry and about my own personal fitness for it. I'm going into it with realism, optimism and caution and topping those things off with some excitement and determination.
Good luck! I'll help where and when I can.
Oldnew...difference-maker and johnday Thank this. -
You could wait until Monday and call them as well. I've found they really don't lie. If you'd like, I'll give you the name of my recruiter when I hired in.
NO, I'm NOT a recruiter, or trainor, and will never be either. You will NOT get my ID number so I collect a bonus. Hope that dispels any notions some may have. -
JustSonny Thanks this.
