I was wondering if anybody new if Schneiders new 2012 trucks were auto or manual? I know from what I've heard from other drivers that you get what ever they give you as far as trucks but can you choose auto or manual? Any replies would be appreciated

Don't know about the new ones but, I always requested an Auto and most of the time got one, was Western 11. Don't know for sure but, heard that they were not ordering Auto's on the new Trucks

all the new 2012's are manual. 10 speeds.

SNI gave up the auto experiment and will not order them anymore.

That's good to hear. I Havnt drove the autos but seems to me like they would be a death trap on slick roads. I could be wrong though.

I drive for a large Canadian company that uses only autos in their fleet with the exception of the LCV's and there have been no issues with control on slick roads.

that isn't why SNI gave up auto's.

They gave them up because most were having to be towed in for repairs every month.

For whatever reason, they were having to many maint. problems with the auto's they had, and it was getting to expensive, so they scrapped em.
