Hey, I am an experienced driver looking to (not right away but eventually) become a trainer.
I have had bad trainers and I want to be a good trainer, not getting into it just for the money, but that is one of the benefits of it.
When I do eventually get into training I will TAKE THE TIME to actually provide people with training, instead of simply wanting a steering wheel holder for more miles. That means backing up repetitively at truck stops, it means what needs to be done until the student can drive as good as I can or better.
Right now i'm just researching ahead.
What is Schneider's policy about training students, and how much do trainers make?
I would be training as a company driver (not a lease driver).
Would I get paid something per each mile the student ran (even as a company driver trainer instead of a lease-trainer)???
Or would I only get like an extra $500 for training someone?
Thanks.
Schneider's policy about becoming a trainer???
