School Bus Rearends Semi-2 Killed

I feel bad for that truck driver. The powers that be are going to do everything they can to pin it on him rather then their own busses. At a minimum he can expect to be sued by half the parents of the kids on that bus. And god forbid they find so much as a dim light on his rig.

 

The truck driver better have all his Is dotted and his Ts crossed.

if the trucker was doing the speed limit, then i hope the school bus company is what gets sued.

 

Nah I don’t see that running into the back of someone is to cut and dry. Sad event for everyone though.

 

Bus rear ends a truck. Last I heard, any vehicle that rear ends another is considerred at fault. Condolences to the parents

Usually i would agree with you but this was a fatal wreck involveing a bus full of children operated by the gooberment. The people directly above the driver of the bus and anyone even slightly connected to it are going to do anything and everything upto and including lie to try and foist it off on the truck driver. If he stopped suddenly, had just lane changed in, had dim or broken break lights, had been speeding, had been over on his dot logs at any point in the week or a million other little things they can and will try to nail him to a cross and burn him alive.

If not they open themsleves and the gooberment in general up to major lawsuits by lawyers who will play off a jurys sympathy for the parents and use the shock and awe of "kids got hurt" to sway things against the school. When kids are involved if you have a lot of parents on the jury especially then its a lot easier to sway them with minimal facts or giant streches that would normally not pass the sniff test.

Its a bad situation all around but the lawyers are soon to get involed and are likely already circleing this event like sharks in chummed water.

 

Here in Canada they have a hard time getting school bus drivers even more so after jab requirement. Sadly this will become more common with the seats being filled by whoever applies for job.
